George Hulsey
About me
Hi! My name is George Hulsey; welcome to my website. Here I have collected my contact information, my CV/links to my publications, various sets of review notes that I have written over time, and a selection of my favorite pictures from the many adventures I've been lucky to have in life.
I earned my PhD in physics in June 2024 at UC Santa Barbara. My interests are in synergy between theory and computation; this was the theme of my work on the quantum mechanical bootstrap with Prof. David Berenstein. I am also interested in the application of mathematical physics techniques to complex systems outside the quantum world. Some of my other work, with Prof. Jean Carlson, studies various aspects of wildfire dynamics and risk management, including the development of high-resolution machine learning datasets for wildfire spread. I currently work in quantitative research at Dark Forest Technologies.
Outside of mathematical science and investment management, I live in Brooklyn, NYC with my wonderful fiancee Millie and enjoy biking, climbing, hanging out with my dog, and learning to cook new and exciting foods from around the world.
